If you are considering buying a TCL TV, please avoid.
My 85” set broke down after less than 2 years. I understand these things happen for electronic equipment, so no issue here. Technician came by to check, verified not serviceable. Then the nightmare starts. TCL claims will not offer 1-1 replacement. They will source a panel to fit onto old set and replace my broken set. Alternatively, forget gave me option to “upgrade” to the latest model for ~$1,800. I chose the former. It’s been nearly 2 months and no updates at all. When I chase, they give standard response “we are still waiting for updates”.

if you're looking for a dependable tv and this falls within your budget, just go for it. it's not OLED, but for most viewers, you don't need it to be. if you're coming from your average standard 4k uhd tv, this is a big upgrade.

i got used those big brand but most of it are reflective screen, i think, the brightness is not enough especially in a room with a lot of natural light, so this round i am very particually on brightness spec and excellent local dimming with minimal blooming which i have previously owned the OLED. The TV has the ability to handle bright rooms while still delivering high-quality pictures is something that Mini LED does exceptionally well. Can’t tell it’s a downgrade even though this is not an oled screen.

After using the TCL C755 4K QLED TV for a couple of weeks, I feel confident in sharing an honest review. I chose this model primarily because of the QD-MiniLED technology, which offers brighter colors and more local dimming zones for better contrast. This helps avoid issues like blooming and screen burn, common with OLED displays.

From my research, I learned that TCL is a pioneer in this technology, so I was eager to give it a try. While this model may not be the absolute best in its category, it offers great performance for the price, making it a solid option within my budget. With it, I can enjoy OLED-like quality without the high price tag.

The one downside is that the audio quality doesn’t quite meet my expectations.

Overall, though, it’s still a great purchase and a solid value.
